So I would love the first blog post to be about how we got here, to this stage... to sitting here and writing this to you now.
My love for styling hair has always been there, even if not the main priority at stages along away. For the last 2 years, I have been trying a different avenue in hospitality where I have met some amazing people and made some true friends for life. But, with a young family and restrictive hours, it just wasn’t ‘working’ anymore...
With the wedding season in full swing and trial enquires coming in, I found myself confronted with the dreaded ‘C’ word… CONFIDENCE! This can be a brutal industry in terms of getting work, or so I thought until I met an inspirational person that invited me and many others feeling just as I did into her ‘girl gang tribe’ to a place to build each other up and share work. As there really is enough for us all out there. This person gave me the CONFIDENCE to get out there, really put myself out there, believe in myself and believe in the talents that I have grown and will continue to grow (with the ‘tribes’ help) through inspiration and supporting each other.
We all need a push sometimes, but if you believe in it - go for it! The ‘C’ word gets the better of us all in life but if you BELIEVE… the sky’s the limit!
I’m pretty lucky to have some awesome friends too that happen to be pros in website building and marketing, to whom I am completely indebted and now your personal hair stylist forever more.
So here we are... taking the leap, putting myself out there... Wish me luck!
